Key nutrients including vitamin B2, C and E play an essential role in protecting our cells from oxidative damage. Modern living can have a detrimental impact on our ability to protect against oxidative stress which causes damage to our cells, with factors such as chronic stress, environmental toxins and smoking all negatively contributing.

MetaClear contains choline, a vitamin-like substance which supports healthy liver function and the healthy metabolism (breakdown and absorption) of fats. Choline plays a similar role to the B vitamins in supporting metabolic processes in the body required for energy production. Is it also required for the transportation of fats from the liver to cells across the body, thereby ensuring fat does not accumulate in the liver.

Standardised Milk Thistle extract and other standardised botanical extracts including pomegranate, watercress, green tea and artichoke, have been included for their traditional use in supporting liver health. Artichoke supports normal blood lipid (fat) levels and normal liver function. It may help protect against free radical damage.

Alongside the amino acids glycine and taurine, N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) and alpha lipoic acid (ALA) also feature in this targeted formula. Both ALA and NAC are known for their ability to help increase levels of the body's master antioxidant glutathione which supports the body in the detoxification of toxins and carcinogens. Glutathione also has the ability to recycle other antioxidants, as well as protect cells from oxidative damage.

Why is it important to use standardised botanical extracts?
Standardised extracts ensure a consistent level of active ingredient. For example, we can guarantee that every two tablets of MetaClear will contain 50mg green tea, providing 50% polyphenols, 20-30% catechins and between 7 and 13% EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) - the active components of green tea. Extracts which are not standardised will not guarantee a particular level of active ingredient.

Dosage:
Take 2 tablets daily or as recommended.
Can tablet be split into a smaller size? Yes. A pill cutter may be required.

Suitability:
The vitamin D3 in this product is from lanolin – a vegetarian source of vitamin D3.

Contains vitamin A. Do not take more than 750µg vitamin A (as retinol) if pregnant or likely to become pregnant except on the advice of a doctor or antenatal clinic.
