Why choose Multi Essentials For Women?
From work to home and everything in between, the demanding lifestyles that we lead today can be at odds with ensuring we meet our nutritional needs. Stress can deplete the body of vital nutrients, leading to exhaustion and a weakened immune system. In order to maintain health and wellbeing with a busy routine, taking a high quality multivitamin can help cover any missing nutrition gaps.
Full of 29 essential vitamins and minerals in their most bioavailable forms, our one-a-day supplement provides targeted support for everything from hormone balance to fertility, bone health to immunity; helping women sail through everyday life with energy and vitality.
How do Multi Essentials differ from other multivitamins?
After in-depth research and development to ensure the most efficacious product on the market, our unique formula has been specifically designed to contain a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals that are not found in cheaper alternatives, including choline, manganese and chromium for blood sugar management. Rather than simply add in every nutrient, our experts carefully select both the optimal amount and form of each ingredient within our products to create a winning formula that can truly make a difference to your health.
I eat a balanced diet, do I really need a multivitamin?
In theory, a multivitamin would not be necessary if you can eat a well-balanced diet including ten portions of fresh fruit and vegetables daily, lead a stress-free life with no exposure to air pollution or toxins. However, in reality, most of us struggle to do this! A high quality daily multivitamin is something of a nutrition insurance policy to help to fill in any gaps when they appear, providing support for energy production, healthy psychological function and immunity.
Why is the form of a nutrient important?
Just like the quality and the strength, the form of a nutrient has an impact on its efficacy too. For example, we choose to use the active and methylated forms of B vitamins that are ready to be used as soon as they are consumed and don't need to be converted by the body, which some people may struggle to do. Some forms of nutrients are better-tolerated and absorbed by the body too, which is why we opt for vitamin K2 in the MK-7 form, and iron in bisglycinate which is gentler on the stomach.
Why do women need different multivitamins than men?
Women and men have unique nutrient needs, which is why you’ll notice that the government Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) for vitamins and minerals vary between genders, as well as age. Health concerns and priorities for men and women differ too. For example, women tend to lose bone density at a faster rate than men as they age, and may benefit from a multivitamin that provides more support for bone health.
Hormone balance is essential for females too, which is why our Multi Essentials for Women includes Broccoli extract for healthy oestrogen metabolism, and Pomegranate extract for healthy skin support. Our Multi Essentials for Men, on the other hand, includes phytosterols for prostate function, and is iron-free due to a higher risk of iron overload in men.
How long before I feel an effect?
Taking a high quality multivitamin helps to ensure you have an adequate nutrient status, functioning as something of a nutrition insurance policy to keep you in optimal health, rather than rectify deficiencies. Therefore it can be difficult to say how long it may take to feel a difference as it will depend on the individual’s nutrient status. The lower you are in certain nutrients, the faster you’ll likely notice a difference in your health.
It’s important to recognise that multivitamins aren’t miracle tablets, but taking them consistently is key to ensuring a constant and adequate supply of nutrients to the body, particularly if your diet is not as well-balanced as it could be, to help optimise your health and wellbeing. Please also note that your ability to absorb the nutrients will depend to a large extent on the health of your gut, and any gut-related issues may need to be addressed before optimal nutrient status can be achieved.
