UltraClear Sustain is a powdered nutritional mix of rice protein, vitamins, minerals, inulin and targeted amino acids such as glutamine. It is known as a metabolic food. The rice protein we use in UltraClear Sustain is a hypoallergenic protein, suitable for those with allergies and intolerances and those who wish to support their gut function. It has been specially processed with high amylose rice flour, enriched with essential amino acids to increase its biological value, and the source of fats are readily absorbed and metabolised medium-chain triglycerides.

UltraClear Sustain contains a full range of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, B2, B3 and biotin, which support the maintenance of mucous membranes, which line many tracts and structures of the body, including the digestive tract. It contains inulin derived from chicory, rich in soluble fibre, which helps to stimulate the growth of live bacteria in the bowel, as the bacteria consume it as a food source. This may help contribute towards normal bowel function and support healthy digestion.

In addition, UltraClear Sustain contains glutamine, NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine) and glutathione. UltraClear Sustain helps support healthy gut function and can be consumed as a delicious shake.

What are the benefits of glutamine, NAC and glutathione?
L-glutamine is the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acid in the body, and it may be made from another amino acid, glutamic acid. Though it can be made in the body, different areas of the body have different requirements for l-glutamine, and the biggest users are the rapidly growing and dividing cells of the intestinal lining. Glutathione is known as the 'master antioxidant' - helping to protect our cells from oxidative stress, and NAC, a derivative of the amino acid l-cysteine, is used to make glutathione.

What is a metabolic food?
Metabolic foods in powder form are easily mixed with water to make a tasty and convenient shake that can be used either as a meal replacement, snack replacement or meal accompaniment, thereby enhancing a healthy diet and lifestyle by delivering a larger volume of high quality nutrients than is achievable in tablets or capsules.

Dosage:

Medium-chain triglycerides, Natural vanilla flavour, Olive oil, Rice flour, Rice protein concentrate, Rice syrup powder, Bamboo extract (Bambusa vulgaris), Dicalcium phosphate, Guar gum.

Suitability:
The vitamin D3 in this product is from algae – a vegan source of vitamin D3.

The safety of glutamine in cancer patients has not been established, therefore this product is not recommended for those with cancer.
