Providing 200mcg selenium as bioavailable selenomethionine per capsule. Selenomethionine, seleniuim chelated to the amino acid methionine, is one of the most readily absorbable forms of selenium and one of the forms that occurs in nature.

Selenium has powerful protective properties itself, as well as being an essential cofactor nutrient for the production of glutathione peroxidase – the body’s 'master antioxidant.'

Selenium is a crucial trace mineral for optimal male fertility, as it contributes to normal testicular formation; and the formation, maintenance and functioning of normal sperm. A deficiency in selenium may lead to immotile, deformed sperm. Only the strongest sperm are capable of fertilising the ovum (egg).

Selenium is an essential part of normal thyroid function. It is a cofactor for the production and conversion of thyroid hormones, which are crucial for the control of the body’s metabolism.
