» What is Wheat Grain?
The wheat grain is probably the most popular grain in Britain and can be used for all sorts of sweet and savoury recipes or simply ground to make your own flour. They can also be sprouted and grown into wheat grass.

Wheat Grain Uses - Grains:
These grains can be used whole in soups or stews, and also to fill out vegetable dishes. They are also fine to use in flour grinding.
Sprouts:
Wheat sprouts are quite sweet and can be eaten as they are. Cooking them will remove much of the goodness generated by the sprouting process. Add the sprouts to salads or to soups at the last minute. They can also be made into raw breads and raw biscuits/crackers.
Wheat grass:
Wheat grass is usually blended into a drink, either on its own or combined with other fruit and vegetables to make a super healthy smoothie.
A grain is considered ‘whole’ when the entire grain seed is retained: the bran, germ and the endosperm. The bran and germ parts are rich in fibre, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. These are the parts removed in the refining process, leaving behind the energy-rich but nutrient-poor endosperm portion of the grain.
