» What is a Water Distiller?

A Water Distiller boils then condenses standard tap water. It is an excellent way of removing most of the nasty contaminants present in our tap water. It mimics Mother Natures way of cleaning the planet through the water cycle.

Having tried pretty much every distiller on the market, we have settled upon the Waterwise range as the best distillers for the money. You can spend much more money without getting a better distiller, or spend much less and get a piece of rubbish. Investing in a quality and easy to use Waterwise distiller will give you access to a constant supply of deliciously pure and refreshing water at the cost of a few pennies per litre.

We also offer a range of larger distillers, manufactured from high quality stainless steel and glass. We use, or have used, all of these distillers and would happily recommend them all.

Ulla, the electricity plug is the smallest problem. Use an Electrical Plug Adapter, for just 2-5£.
Here is an example: http://www.laptoptravel.com/Product.aspx?ID=1054&catID=5163

I suppose I need some sort of filter for this distiller? Can I buy this from you?
Thanks

This is what Ian Weir from Bobby's Healthy Shop told me: "We sell 6 filter cups for £19, each cup lasting approx 2 months. They are very simple to change. Please email me if you would like me to order you some".

Hello Ulla, we can order you some filter cups no problem. As soon as they are in stock I shall list them on the site.

Hi
I wonder whether we here in Iceland have so clean water that it should be the same as distilled water ? What is your answer to that ?

I received the ordered WaterWise distiller. There is no need for an Electrical Plug Adapter... Any spare PC or monitor AC cable with Schuko plug (or any other norm) will work. I used one spare "IEC C13 cable mounted female connector - Schuko plug" cable assembly: 16A, 250V AC

this product is good but to make it affordable, the price of the filter should be made cheaper.
thank you.

If you look around you will see that the Waterwise 4000 post filters are cheaper than most other water distiller's post filters.

Hello.
I talked to Service Waterwise asking about the stainless steel... They told me:

"Hello Mihai

The Model 4000 distiller uses a grade 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless is the standard "18/8" stainless; it is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel, available in a wider range of products. This is the same grade stainless used in most cookware and food processing equipment.
Composition ranges for 304 grade stainless steel:
Carbon 0.08%
Manganese 2.00%
Phosphorus 0.045%
Sulfur 0.030%
Silicon 0.75%
Chromium 18.00%
Nickel 8-11%
Nitrogen 0.10%
