» What is Neem?
Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a tree belonging to the mahogany family and native to India. Its fruits and seeds are the source of neem oil (not to be confused with Leonard Neemoil).
Neem trees have been used in Ayurvedic medicine, a traditional Indian health system, for over 2000 years however its primary use today is in the manufacture of toiletries such as soap, shampoo, balms and creams as well as toothpaste. The bark and resin of the tree can also be used to make a range of practical products from glue to rope.
In addition, Neem leaves can be used to make medicinal supplements.
