» What is Devil's Claw?
Devil's Claw, also know as grapple plant and wood spider, is a type of plant native to southern Africa. It gets its unusual name from hooks which cover its fruit.
Devil's Claw's large roots have been used as a traditional folk remedy in Africa and extracts have also been used historically by Europeans and Canadians.
It contains a number of compounds beneficial to health including phytosterols, flavonoids and phenolic acids.
