» What are Healing Clays?
The first thing you should know is that not all clay is healing clay. You can't just wander into your garden and start smearing it on your face in the hope it will make you beautiful; or chewing on a lump for an impromptu bowel cleanse. There are many different types, some used for purely industrial purposes; others for pottery. The finest clays, however, by which I mean those with a microscopic particle size, have a variety of health and beauty uses.
Our fine clays have been carefully chosen for their unique composition and outstanding qualities; Green Clay and Red Clay contain high concentrations of Montmorillonite; mild Kaolin is rich in silicon and aluminium silicate; Moroccan Rhassoul is a traditional body care clay and Zeolite can help detoxify heavy metals.
These healing clays are sourced from unpolluted regions of the world; Green and Red Montmorillonite clays from the hills of Sardinia; Kaolin from the ancient volcanic region of the Cote D'Armor in Brittany; Moroccan Rhassoul from the Atlas mountain range and Zeolite from the volcanic region of the Aegean.
Clay is one of the Earth's most basic substances. It is rich in minerals and nutrients and has been used as a traditional remedy for thousands of years. It can be used internally for healing or externally for beauty and skin care.
