» Why use a shower filter?

Ideal for those not ready for the whole house water filter, or who just want to make sure the water they shower in is extra clean, these filters are simple to attach to any wall mounted shower unit without the need for any tools. They remove the chlorine from tap water in various ways, either through filters made from high purity zinc alloy and copper or coconut shell carbon. The filters also contain anti-bacteria carbon to prevent bacterial growth within the units. As well as ridding the water of chlorine, these filters will also remove other nasty contaminants from the water like mercury and arsenic as well improving odour and removing dirt.

i think you can put himalayan salt into the distilled water to make it alittle more mineral friendly i believe.

Dear Sirs
Could you tell me the types of water filter you sell that can remove Fluorides from tap water - this is the most important thing to me since I am hypothyroid and have a huge Iodine deficiency and have just discovered that the Fluoride is helping stop the Iodine being absorbed. I have been on bottled water for a week or two and the difference is noticeable. If given a choice I would really prefer a filter that I didn't have to have plumbed in due to the difficulty and vast expense of having that done round here(!) - it was most heartening to see you have some impressive looking filters that don't need to be plumbed in - but I couldn't see any info on fluorides.

Many thanks for your help

You need either a distiller or reverse osmosis to remove fluoride Pat. Both middi and classic models above appear to be reverse osmosis to me and usually can be fitted very simply.. and should come with whatever parts you require..:)

Hi
If I bought the Aquasana AQ-4105 Shower Filter with Handheld Shower Head could I drink the water from the shower as well as it has been filtered? Also, will it connect to all shower connections without any problems? Lastly, should I have any concerns with internally taken colloidal sliver or spraying up my nose?
Thanks

I recently purchased from you an alkaline filter jug. I had watched the publicity video which showed how the jag alkalized the water. I have been using the jug to filter water and then leaving it to stand to allow the water to become alkaline. After 24 four hours the water gets to nearly pH 7 and is certainly nowhere near as alkaline as was demonstrated in the video. Please let me know how I can improve the efficacy of the alkalizing process. I followed the instructions for setting up the jug carefully and activated the alkaline minerals with the citric acid as directed.
