What are your adrenal glands?
The adrenal glands are small glands that sit on top of each kidney. They produce a number of crucially important hormones, including DHEA and cortisol, and are largely responsible for the body's hormonal response to the stresses of life. They are also involved in many physiological functions including water/electrolyte balance, inflammation regulation and blood sugar control. The acute and chronic stress of modern living means they have a lot to deal with and may not function as optimally as they should.
