Chromium Picolinate provides a high strength, bioavailable form of chromium with each tablet providing 200μg chromium in the picolinate form. When chromium is bound to picolinic acid it forms a complex which is highly bioavailable and better absorbed than other commonly used forms. It helps to support normal blood glucose levels and helps the body process macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein and fats).

What is chromium?
Chromium is an essential trace mineral found in wholegrains, various fruits and vegetables, meats, seafood and nuts. Trace minerals such as chromium cannot be produced by the human body so must be obtained from the food we eat. However it tends to be depleted from the soil and foods during processing and refining, especially grains. This means that the daily diet may not provide adequate levels of this important trace mineral, especially for those who consume a highly processed diet.

What is chromium important for?
Chromium plays an important role in the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. It is a key part of glucose tolerance factor (GTF), which works together with insulin to support the uptake of glucose into the cells. Low chromium levels mean low GTF levels which can result in elevated blood glucose levels as the activity of insulin is blocked. In this way chromium may help to support body composition and healthy blood sugar levels.

Suggested use:
1-3 tablets daily with food, or as directed.
Can tablet be split into a smaller size? Yes. A pill cutter may be required.
