» What is d-Limonene?
D-Limonene is a volatile oil derived from the peel of citrus fruits. It is commonly used in cosmetics and cleaning products due to its strong citrus orange smell. Although it has many other applications, its most important use is in the human body. Consumption of d-limonene stimulates the production of enzymes and is quickly metabolized into limonene-1, 2-diol, perillic acid, dihydroperillic acid, and uroterpenol.
