Coral Calcium

What is Coral Calcium?

We’ve all heard of calcium, the mineral essential for healthy bones and teeth. But what is coral calcium? Well, as its name suggests, coral calcium is derived from fossilized coral reefs and has only quite recently been found to have beneficial properties in addition to those found in normal calcium.

How is Coral Calcium made?

Most coral calcium today is made from poor quality fossilized deposits and lacks many of the nutrients found in the coral calcium available from us. The Coral calcium we supply is made with marine grade deposits from Okinawa, Japan. It is ground into a fine powder then heat treated to 1000°F before being ozonated and bagged for export.

What is Coral Calcium used for?

Drink your milk or your bones won’t grow and your teeth will fall out! This is something we’ve all heard at some point in our lives, and to a certain extent it’s true. Calcium is very good for you. But coral calcium is better. It is full of trace minerals, has a good magnesium ratio and also contains marine microbes that can aid digestion. If taken regularly it could also help protect you from heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis and high cholesterol. It can also promote healing, help with the symptoms of PMS, prevent osteoporosis and keep your blood, muscles and nerves working properly.

How does Coral Calcium work?

The people of Okinawa, a chain of islands southwest of Japan, have long been known to live longer than your average person. One of the reasons is the amount of dissolved coral calcium in the water. Calcium has a part to play in almost every biological function of the body, one of the most important of which is to attack oxygen robbing acid found in bodily fluids. More oxygen means a reduced threat from cancer and other degenerative diseases, more of which below.

Coral Calcium and Cancer.

It has very recently been discovered that cancer cells don’t like oxygen, and their occurrence is more likely if there is an absence of free oxygen in the body. Oxygen levels in the body are reduced when the body becomes overly acidic. A lack of mineral consumption (such as calcium) results in the body having to scrabble for minerals from elsewhere, sometimes de-mineralising organs, making them acidic, then anaerobic (lacking oxygen) and so more susceptible to cancer.
